Paint & Paws Adoption Event

May 21st from 9am-1:30 PM
Bruce Lurie Gallery 873 Vía De La Paz

Adoptable pups, art, face paint, and raffle prizes!

YARI hosted its first ever adoption event on May 21, in collaboration with three dog rescues: Tails to the Wind, Much Love, and Wags & Walks! The “Paint & Paws” event took place at the Bruce Lurie art gallery in Pacific Palisades, and alongside the ten adoptable dogs that attended, the gallery provided street artwork by Teachr to be sold. Participants got to meet the rescue pups and take part in activities hosted by YARI members – most notably, face paint and glitter tattoos! A raffle also took place in which people competed for baskets of pet supplies donated by Vdog, Justfoodfordogs, and Barkbox. The event attracted many families interested in meeting the dogs, and we managed to raise over $560 from donations, merch sales, and raffle entries! Overall, the “Paint & Paws” event was a huge success! Multiple pups received interest from families considering adoption, and the money raised will undoubtedly go towards helping many animals find loving homes.
